In the review article “Onconephrology: The Significance of Renal Function for the Development, Diagnosis, and Treatment of Cancer” by Susanne Delecluse et al. in issue 24/2024, the value for the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) on page 794 was marked with the incorrect mathematical symbol. The correct text should read: “In patients with a GFR of >60 mL/min/1.73 m² and proteinuria, cancer mortality is higher than cardiovascular mortality (7).”
Furthermore, the following requires an additional reference: “The cumulative cancer frequency is higher with a GFR of <60 mL/min/1.73 m² compared to a GFR >60 mL/min/1.73 m² and increases disproportionately over a period of 12 years (5, 8).”
